INTRODUCTION TO MALAYSIA
    A Malay family welcomes their guests of many races to their open house during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
The Prime Minister and his wife, former PM Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed and other VIPs perform the Yee Sang or prosperity toss at a pre-Chinese New Year dinner.

Orchestra. Music festivals such as the Rainforest World Music Festival (Kuching, Sarawak), the Penang World Music Festival, and the Kuala Lumpur Jazz Festival create opportunities for celebration throughout the year.
On a sporting note,
the Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix and
the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix (MotoGP) are both held annually at the Sepang International Circuit. The Tour de Langkawi,
held early in the year,
is a major international cycling road race, while
the Sarawak Regatta
and the Penang Dragon Boat Festival showcase traditional water sports.
The country also hosts major international golf, tennis, badminton, squash and hockey tournaments.
The Great Outdoors
Malaysia has a wide variety of natural attractions, including tropical rainforests, beaches, mountains,
lakes and islands. On the peninsula these include: Taman Negara, and
the Belum Rainforest Reserve, both vast tropical rainforests, home to a huge array of tropical flora and fauna. In Sabah the Kinabalu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is dominated by the tallest mountain in Southeast
Asia, and in Sarawak the Mulu National Park, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, features the world’s
