Santubong
At the mouth of the Sarawak River, Santubong offers an alternative anchorage to Kuching. Directly at the foot of the spectacular rainforest-
clad Mount Santubong,
it is one of the most picturesque anchorages
in Sarawak. There are no mooring facilities available to the public but there is
a private jetty where fresh water can be obtained. A popular seafood restaurant is directly onshore, the friendly Malay fishing village of Santubong is only a short walk away, and
there are regular transport links to Kuching City Centre.
Miri Marina
Miri Marina was built to
put Sarawak firmly on the international yachting map. The marina’s
elegant design makes

in the marina is 5 metres (LLW) which is adequate for all types of boats likely to dock. The four pontoons enable direct mooring with
no anchorage required. Modern pedestals offer direct access to electricity and water for every boat. The pontoons also have fire hoses, good lighting and dustbins for waste disposal, and there are showers
and toilets onshore. Other facilities include a good seafood restaurant, a bar and karaoke lounge, and free WiFi.
The Marina is only a short distance from the city centre and an easy walk
to many good hotels and restaurants. It has received glowing reviews from yachtsmen and is noted for its security should sailors wish to leave boats for extended periods. As Miri is a major centre for the offshore industry, outboard
