At the International level, the National Archives is involved in SARBICA (Southeast
Asia Regional Branch of
the International Council of Archives) and the UNESCO- sponsored Memory of the World Programme. It also provides technical cooperation to developing countries
under the Malaysia Technical Cooperation Programme.
MAIN FEATURES
The National Archives of Malaysia was established on 1st December 1957. Its headquarters are in Kuala Lumpur with 10 branches throughout the country. It is the custodian of some of Malaysia’s greatest treasures, namely
its historical records, some of which are displayed in the well-lit and spacious galleries. It makes the
