Malaysia’s best known and most accessible museum, as well as an iconic KL landmark, the National Museum traces Malaysia’s history and culture from prehistoric times to the present day.
OPENING HOURS
9am~5pm daily. Last admission time 4.30pm Closed 1st Monday of every month and 1st day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Hari Raya Aidiladha.
Nominal admission fee.
MAIN FEATURES
Opened in 1963 on
the site of the former Selangor Museum, which was destroyed in WWII, the National Museum’s architecture was inspired by the Balai Besar Palace (Istana Balai Besar) in Alor Setar, Kedah.
