Kampung Air Patau-Patau 2 is one of the last remaining water villages in Malaysia, with colourful houses
built on wooden stilts linked together by wooden boardwalks. Visitors get to enjoy a taste of local culture and cuisine in a unique marine environment.

Kampung Air Patau-Patau 2 was built in the 1930’s
and subsequently reconstructed, with only the highest grade belian hardwood used for the foundations. This makes the houses remarkably stable and able to stand strong for centuries to come. To this day, the village
LOCATION / ROUTE
The Water Village is located 3km west of Bandar Labuan (formerly Victoria) town centre, accessible by road or water taxi.
HOW TO GET THERE
By bus or taxi from the town centre. Regular water taxis and longboats run from the market jetty during daylight hours.
Boats are the easiest way to get around the water village. Most families own one in preference to a car.
