Mulu National Park offers rich bio- and geo-diversity, which can be explored and appreciated through various jungle and mountain treks.
including 170 wild orchids and 10 pitcher plants. Mulu’s wildlife is equally rich, with an impressive variety of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and other invertebrates. One of the best ways to appreciate this biodiversity is from the Mulu Canopy Skywalk, at 480 metres the longest tree-based walkway in the world.
Jungle and Mountain Treks
Mulu is the perfect travel destination for naturalists and adventurers, who can choose from a wide range of nature-based activities, including some excellent treks where visitors experience the natural environment, the beauty of the rainforest and many unique biological and
geographic features.
The Gunung Mulu Summit
Trek requires a craving for adventure and high level
of fitness. The trek to the Pinnacles of Gunung Api is less demanding and a truly memorable experience. The trail passes through beautiful scenery to the viewing point, where razor-sharp limestone pinnacles tower above the surrounding forest. The Headhunters Trail, which combines jungle trekking with river travel and a stay in an Iban longhouse, is a unique and interesting way of accessing the park.
