Sarawak Junior Golf First Association was the brainchild of the former Chief Minister, and is tasked to identify, groom and develop young golfers to play to international PGA (Professional Golfers Association) standards and to foster sportsmanship and good ethical values amongst young golfers.

Formerly known as the Sarawak Junior Golf Foundation and Academy, SJGFA was launched by TYT Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, who is also the Life Patron, on 19th January 2002.

Located at Petra Jaya, just before the State Stadium.

By car and by taxi. There is no public transport available.

Specially formulated to identify and develop Junior Golfers from
the ages of 5 to 17 years of age, the SFJGA’s programmes are designed and implemented according to the rules and guidelines of the PGA of America.
The Academy Golf Course provides a
fully equipped training centre for junior golfers in Malaysia. Facilities include a 9-hole golf course, a 20-bay mini driving range, and two practice greens with bunkers for pitching, chipping and putting. Teaching professionals provide students with personal and small- group coaching, using state-of-the-art video and swing analysis.
