     Electronic Local Authorities - eLA2 is Workflow centric solution which incorporates GIS, Business Intelligence (BI) and mobile technologies. This interconnected enterprise solution that is being implemented state-wide will harmonise and standardise the core business procedures of the councils. The system will enhance the daily operations of the councils such as ratings & billings, licensing & valuation, HR & payroll, Service Facility Management, etc.
SAINS - THE DRIVING FORCE
SAINS was established
in 1991 to manage the implementation of IT adoption and utilization
by the State Government. However, rather than depending on offshore third parties and acting purely as a government system integrator monopoly, under CEO Dato Teo Tien Hiong, SAINS chose the higher value creation approach of an ICT enabler and creator
of original software and intellectual property. In working closely with a variety of local and global ICT partners, it has built
a critical mass of ICT capability and skills in the state. As a result, SAINS has transformed Sarawak’s ICT industry.
SAINS’s 400-strong workforce is the biggest
of Sarawak Information Systems Sdn. Bhd. (SAINS), while the latter, through the creation of the administrative machinery
of the Information
and Communication Technology Unit under the Chief Minister’s Department.
      Talikhidmat is a 24-hour statewide Public Service Helpline initiated
by the Sarawak Chief Minister’s Department to improve public service delivery. The use of technology and innovation has enabled faster and more efficient routing of cases to government agencies resulting in speedier responses to public queries and complaints, as well as faster case solving.
SAINS Data Centre - A highly secured, purpose-built facility to provide
the end-to-end ICT resources and managed services that SAINS offers. The data centre hosts more than 200 different critical business applications.
