THE GUIDE TO SARAWAK 367
wasteland to a leading ICT exporter.
The achievements SAINS has racked up in its 20-plus years of operation are highlighted by the number of national, regional and international awards
and recognitions that
the company has won. There are too many to
list, but the most notable
is probably the United Nations’ World Summit Award (2009) as one of the World’s Best E-Content Application Products
in the E-Government & Institutions Category,
for its Integrated Courts Solution (ICS). In addition, SAINS directly enabled Sarawak to win a major award, when the state
was presented with
the Geospatial World Excellence Award for its achievement in Governance in Land Administration
and Land Management in Amsterdam (2012).
Today, SAINS is widely recognised as a leader
in the region for cost effective deployment
and efficient utilisation
of IT in government and
in the private sector. In recent years, SAINS has expanded its business outside of Sarawak and is steadily seeking synergistic business partnerships and building strong customer relations with government entities and multinational corporations throughout Asia, Oceania, Africa and the Middle East.
